for anyone else who interviews at Davis..how do you think your interview went???? i was ok with mine, but the more i replay it in my head, the worse i feel about it!!!

aww...i know what you mean. i thought mine went well. the interviewers were friendly and i didn't leave wanting to cry! but the more time i have to replay it in my mind, the more freaked out i get...(i.e. "i should've said this..." or "i meant to say that...", etc..) well, no sense worrying...we'll know how we did in a few days! *sigh*

Exactly. My interview went okay. It was only about 20 minutes. Did you folks get asked the "classmates cheating" question? Seems like they asked that one a lot! As hard as I've tried not to replay the interview in my head, I'll catch myself doing it randomly. AHHH! 😱

Some of the questions were a little lengthy and hard to follow. Others were short and open ended. Blah! I think I did okay though... I'll find out soon enough I guess.

When did you folks interview? I had my interview on the first day. I've been waiting for wayyy too long!

I had my interview on the second day, so I know exactly what you mean, verbal_kint. I can't stand the waiting anymore! We are indeed supposed to find out next week. Hopefully they'll have mercy on us and let us know at the beginning of the week rather than at the end.

As far as my interview went, I too had to stop myself from replaying it over and over in my head, wondering what I could've or should've said differently. I didn't have anything that I was truly "stumped" on; most of the questions were ones that I had anticipated (about my research, about my decision to go into vet vs. human med, about some undergrad experiences, a few ethical ones about the cities wanting to ban pit bulls, what to do with dog maulings, and how to deal with lab animals/animals of ppl who can't pay). I think the "worst" question, at least the one that I kept thinking about afterwards, was "convince me that you deserve/want to be here". Not that I wasn't expecting it, exactly, but that I couldn't stop thinking "oh lord, did I really convince them?" afterwards. I hope I did.

Good luck to you all! Now back to trying to concentrate on work for awhile...I so wish I was in school right now, it makes the time pass so much faster!!

It is good to hear that I am not the only one replaying the interview and thinking about how I could have done better. I interviewed on March 2. My interview was fairly relaxed but I was nervous at the very beginning but calmed down after a bit. The wait is getting to me haha but we will know next week. Hopefully, we can all be classmates.

ok glad to hear i'm not the only one doing this!!! i'm trying to decide if its better to have a set date of when they are letting us know or if i would rather just be surprised and expect it at any time...

Yeah...I'm doing the same thing! Checking my Email, checking the website and checking the forums to see if anyone else has heard anything (I have a method to it now. I'm allowing myself one Website/Forum check for each time something lands in my mailbox. It's really quite sad). At this rate, I'll never get any work done! If only they hadn't told us the day of the last interview! Then I wouldn't be doing this until next week, AFTER midterms...

Not to tantalize everyone, but my bf (2nd year at Davis) ran into one of the professors on the adcomm this morning. He said that they're making all their decisions today about who's getting in. 😱 He did NOT say when they're emailing out their decisions, but at least it seems that everything is running on schedule! I'm not completely sure about the waitlist, but I think that all the responses post-interview were going to be emailed. I know that both acceptances and rejections were going to be emailed, so I would assume that they would be emailing waitlisted people as well.

nope. this is super-frustrating! they did, however, say that they would be "emailed beginning the week of March 20", meaning there's no guarantee that we would get something today. could be tomorrow...could be wednesday. well, there's still some time left before C.O.B. today....

This is so gut-wrenching. I checked my email and came straight to SDN to see if anyone else has heard anything yet. The wait is a killer. First we have to wait for interviews then conduct the interview and then wait again. This is so much fun (in sarcastic tone of voice).

Very nondescript! And you have to scroll down for an inordinate amount of time to get to the body of the letter.

i'm hoping that the order of notification (if it's not completely random) is based on your interview date... i had mine earlier this month. did you schedule yours later as well?
