Hi,

Curious about what the day to day is for an Ophtho. My concern is that so many identify "office routine" as the biggest dissatisfaction with the career (I realize that this could be said of nearly any profession). Is it really, "A or B - C or D - 1 or 2 - 3 or 4" time after time? This isn't my impression from what I've seen in an academic setting, but is it true in private practice?

General impressions appreciated.

Thanks

Very few ophthalmologists actually do the work-ups, which are time consuming and boring. Technicians usually do those. If I had to work up all my patients, it would drive me crazy. It is just not an efficient use of your time.
