So... my undergrad career has been filed with twists and turns. In my first semester as a freshman the ******* that I was I took Bio 1 and CALC 1. In Bio I got a NC since I was a first semester freshman. In CALC 1 I got a C. I then took gen chem 1 and got a B in lecture and an A in lab. I took gen chem 2 and then I got a B+ in lecture and a B- in lab. I also took bio 2 and withdrew from that class. Then I had a horrible semester and I retook bio 2, as well as taking PSYCH 214 and PSYCH STATS. Some **** from my past haunted me which gave me problems during that semester causing me to get a B- in PSYCH 214 and PSYCH 107. I got an F in bio 2. I'm doing accounting now, and it's miserable. I want to go back to dentistry but with my stats it doesn't seem realistic. So my question is, do I still have a shot and can I get into NYU dental?

A 3.1 is low, but should not be a complete deal breaker, especially if you can do well on the DAT. Do you know what your sGPA is?

I was planning to take Bio 1, Chem 1, and Calc 1 in the same semester as a freshman so thanks for sharing your story.

I took Gen Chem 2, Calc 3, and Bio 1 all the same semester my freshmen year and did fine. You just have to know your limits and study habits to know if that kind of schedule would work for you.
