I am interested in Ph.D however I have not taken the GRE exam (oh no exam again booo). Some of the secondaries that I've seen are asking whether I am interested in Ph.D/DDS. But my main question is, I am wondering whether students who has an intention of applying Ph.D/DDS has more chances of getting in than the regular ones? thanks

At some schools, they give you a slight slight slight slight advantage. You have to show them you REALLY want to do it for them to give you treatment; ie: past undergraduate research, maybe a published paper, or at least a presentation or two, etc. In the past, people have claimed they wanted to do the DDS/PhD...then flaked out.

Some schools don't really care either way.

What schools have asked that? I have been intrigued by biomedical engineering for quite sometime

UCSF n UCLA asks this question. UcLA is more detailed though, they would ask about what you did in your research.
