Hello. So here is how my undergrad academic career started. I started off pre-dental. Here are my grades (including math):

Calc 1: C
Gen Chem 1: B (A in lab)
Gen Chem 2: B+ (B- in lab)

Bio 1: NC (took it as a first semester freshman)
Bio 2: W first time I took it.
Bio 2 (Retake): F

Currently I am majoring in Accounting. However, recently I have been having second thoughts and thinking about possibly going back into Dentistry. My cumulative GPA is a 3.117, and my major gpa is a 3.2. Is it possible if I do go back to the Dental Route, that I can get accepted into schools such as Columbia, NYU? In general do I have a shot at getting into a dental school?

If that's all the sciences you've ever taken, then you have a shot. Low credits means you can really impact that GPA with future A's as opposed to someone who has so many credits. From here on out, buckle down, map out your future, and get nothing less than an A. For ever B, get 2-3 A's. Get a good DAT score. Use the resources here and don't try to skimp on them.

You'll definitely have a shot, but know that the F you took in your Bio 2 will count towards your sGPA when AADSAS calculates your GPA. Make sure you get A and bring that GPA up to 3.6+.
