Other OT-Related Information De stress about applications

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I turned in one app so far and am already going crazy. I feel your pain! But rather than getting caught up in the torture of waiting, I am *trying* to enjoy the fact that I have one less thing to do. When all of my apps are in, I plan on doing things I don't have time to do now and would like to do, like read a good book, organize my closets, or cook some new dishes. 🙂

I also disabled my email syncing on my phone. The constant notification of a new message was too distracting and a constant reminder of the impending news.

Good luck! I think you can get through this without going crazy!

Ugh i feel ya! I just try to keep busy to avoid worrying constantly. I am taking a year off from school so not having school isnt really helping. But i am trying to work as much as i can to save up money and trying to get some more shadowing done. And i am watching lots of netflix and just relaxing and trying to keep my mind off of admissions.

I foolishly applied to ONE program slash one school! If I don't get accepted this time around for Spring start I promised myself that I can get a new road/tri bike woohoo consolation prize!! No, but really... I noticed last week that I was checking my email every 15 mins so I started a timer system cos that's just sad

You still have time to apply to more programs, right?
I submitted my first three applications today! I thought I would feel more relieved. But, not so much!!

I'm so paranoid about getting in that I've applied to 7 schools. 5 of them are completely done... My friend received an email from one school saying her application was incomplete because she did not yet have medical terminology. I also don't have medical terminology but that same school didn't send me an email so now I'm freaking out.

Ugh! It's so hard. It's so important to make sure you exercise every day and eat healthy, it helps so much!

If I don't get in this time around, I plan on volunteering abroad. It's something I've always wanted to do. Now that I have a set plan, I feel so much better! If I get in, I'll be so happy and look forward to school. But if I don't, I have a great experience to look forward to!

Next semester Im not taking any classes. So I plan on working, observing in a variety of settings, and watching tons of Netflix.

Good luck future OT's!
