I'm completing my state controlled substances registration and there is a section with the following:
Circle the schedules you're applying:
II, II N, III, III N, IV, and V.

As a general dentist, I know I will need III N and IV.
Should I circle II N just in case I ever have the need to prescribe oxycodone? What about the other schedules?

Thanks!

I've been practicing for 4 years and haven't prescribed oxycodone for anyone although I technically can. I do plenty of surgical exts. My husband is a periodontist and doesn't prescribe it either.

You make the call.

Hydrocodone (Vicodin) is schedule ii now, so if you prescribe that then u need it:laugh:

Apply for them all even if you don't or ever will need it.

Guess I don't need to know that seeing as I already have a DEA license 😉
