I was just wondering, Most of you guys probably have been on the Deans List right?
Does it look good on your MD application? well of course it does because that means you have a good GPA but how is it significant other then that?

Seems like an obligatory thing, I was debating not even putting it on mine.

Bottom line: it almost definitely can't hurt, but at the same time ad coms almost definitely don't care. If you decide to put it on there, just enter it once and in the explanation field at the bottom enter the other semesters you were on it.

Good luck!

I put it on my primary, but I didn't feel good about it. I feel like if you're PKP, or PBK or graduated with honors, listing the Dean's list is somewhat repetitive and doesn't add anything significant. Heck, I suppose people could just look at your transcript and note you did well.

But it seems like most people do list it, who've been on the dean's list, so it probably won't hurt. Ant the advantage of the deans list thing is it doesn't take that much space to write down and doesn't take that much time to read so if a Ad-Com doesn't particularly care about the dean's list, s/he can easily skip over it on you EC list. (Be sure to only list it once like Voice of Reason describes).

I listed it in a list of less significant activities or awards on AMCAS as "Dean's list every semester since matriculation (8 times total)." I think that might be the best way to handle it.
