Alright, so I am currently working on my 15 activities for AMCAS and am debating b/t 2 activities....I wanted to list that I had taken graduate classes as an undergraduate and learned how to do challenging coursework (I took them b/c I worked in a research lab for years and wanted to learn how to do stats to author a paper as well as learn more about the research topic)...However, it was suggested to me that I should list a hobby instead. I am hesitant to list the hobby instead b/c I feel like the other is more impressive. Thoughts/Advice?

Also as a side note, does anyone know what you should list as the "end date" for activities you are continuing throughout the year? I am a newbie to all of this...

Thanks all! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Personally, I wouldn't list coursework on the activities section. The fact that you took graduate coursework is going to show up on the transcript portion of your AMCAS. Unless this graduate course involved *actual* research, it's probably best to save mentioning it for one of your essay prompts.

No one is going to admit you because you took a graduate class. That is more appropriate in the coursework section. The hobbie on the other hand is excellent conversation fodder for interviews. So I would say that is by far the better choice.

Definitely the hobby. There is an entire section for coursework. Honestly if you don't have a good hobby to list, I would just leave that 15th slot blank rather than fill in the grad classes.

Yeah now that I think about it... It probably isn't all that impressive that I knew how to use the "add" button effectively. 😉. Hobby it is! Thanks all.
