I recently got back my Canadian DAT results and the following are my results:

AA: 19
TS: 20
PAT: 16

GPA: ~3.3
SGPA: ~3.1

Is there any school that will accept these scores?

your gpa is solid, but not spectacular. your AA and TS scores are good but your PAT will probably raise eyebrows. if i were you, i would retake it

With that GPA. Retake for sure. You need at least a 20 now to be competitive with that GPA.

i agree with the previous post. you need at least 20 on all subjects to be competitive with your GPA. If I were you, I'd retake it.

Where do you want to go???

If you are looking at Howard yo might be in good shape (according to their website the ave. DAT of the incoming class is 15). But if you want to go to a more competitive school (and there are a lot of them) you will need to retake the DAT and study hard to raise your scores, especially on the PAT section. That section is all about hard core practice. Do the problems and look closely at the ones you get wrong. Eventually you will get better.

Good luck.

16 for the PAT is a bit low in my opinion. But your AA and TS are solid. Your science GPA is a little on the lower side so you might want to retake it (DAT) and do a little better. Practice for that PAT!
Your scores are good but when compounded with your GPA you must do a little better in your DAT. Try to get 20's across. I know it's easier said then done.
Goodluck.

My first choice(s) would be NYU, BU, Tufts, or Case because they are all relatively close to home (I live in Toronto). Howard would not be a practical option because I am not African American (although I am sort of a minority being from Pakistan).

In that case you will have to retake, unless you have discovered a magic cure for cavities.

Here is the average DAT scores for the 2003-2004 incoming class (from the Tufts website):

Academic Average - 19
Perceptual Ability - 17
Total Science - 19

Here are the stats for Case for the Fall 2003 class (also from the website):

Mean DAT Academic Average 18.12
Mean DAT Perceptual Ability 18.10

And since these are from 2003, the entering class will have even higher stats. We are only getting more cometitive!

Good luck.

Like I told you in your other thread, your GPA is not that great, so you really need to show adcoms better DAT scores...

I know that at Temple, there is a 90% chance that you will get rejected right away...and Temple is not a hard school to get into

your similar to me. I got in. No retake here.

The Canadian DAT is different and I am not sure where you are applying. Because it has the chalk carving vs the PAT dental schools may interpret your results differently. I would think that it is easier to do well on the US PAT than the Canadian PAT

I took the US DAT
19/20/19
GPA 2.96
SGPA 3.32

I made it in no problem....
