Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else had an interview for Dec 2? We can explore philly together! PM me :]. I'll be there a day and a half earlier for my interview.
Make sure you check out Penn's Anthropology Museum (Right across from Franklin Field). It's actually really cool. And go to Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks (right across from each other on Passyunk) - iconic Philly foods.
Penn is absolutely amazing. Have fun and good luck!
Thanks! I'm a bit nervous going into this one, but we'll see what happens! Also, I will definitely go to those places and let you know what I think .I've been wanting a philly cheesesteak since I got the invite! Never had one before, so I'll do it right 😎
So far, everyone I've spoken to has agreed that Penn's interview is one of the most relaxed. Just enjoy the day and order the prosciutto and soppresatta wrap for lunch. I personally liked Geno's steaks better, but I ate that first, so I wasn't so eating Pat's after was kind of overkill. I think you'll like whichever one you try first. Whatever you do, get your steaks with whiz, not provolone! Bring your camera to the interview and take pictures of the campus. It's amazing.
That sounds like a good idea too. Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully those are both within walking distance. I will bring my camera! I can't wait :]
On a side note, any takers?
pats & genos are not within walking distance! lol. theyre in south phil, penns in west phill
Good luck at your interview 👍. They are right, it's very relaxed so don't stress. Also, if any of the D1s are scowling that day its because we have an Anatomy exam 😉. Don't let "the dungeon" spook you from Penn. It's a lot of fun down there. In my opinion it's your classmates that make the difference not the building.
Oh yea, you'll have to take a cab or septa to Pats or Genos. Or if you have plenty of time and the weather is nice strap on your walking shoes and see the city on the way.
Good thing you told me first! Google will help me with that haha. I'll probably have plenty of time to check out the city. I'll be in philly for more than my interview.
I've heard that they're trying to get students out of the "dungeon". Is that true? Or nah? Either way, I'm sure it won't deter me from making my decision. I hope I don't stutter or anything
Yes, renovation plans for the dungeon look ridiculously nice. It won't be ready for our year, though. But when Penn finishes renovating, all the hype over the new schools will have died down, and we'll be proud graduates of an even more sought after dental school. 🙂
Good luck! Definitely one of the most relaxed interviews and most friendly staff. Also, prepare lots of questions! They love answering them.
