I scheduled my buffalo interview for Dec. 1 since I'm not sure whether I really want to go there and Nov. is a busy month for me in terms of school. Does this really ruin my chances of getting in? Should I reschedule for an earlier date?

It really depends. Unless your credentials are off the wall I'd say try to interview before Dec 1. THere are very good reasons for this. Adcoms generally get together to select the class a few times during the year, your application is not going to be considered "Complete" - and ready for actual reject/accept/waitlist, until you're interviewed. So the sooner you interviewed the more chances you will have of being evaluated. Say, the adcom get together in the middle of Nov to finalize their list of 50 that they will accept from the applicants they have interviewed thus far. If you don't happened to be picked then, when they come back to pick the next 50, you will again be in the pool, and again and again.

It could only help you to interview early if you can.

It sounds a little later than normal, but in NO way does it decrease your chances. If you blow them away during your interview, they will NOT turn you down.

And who knows... maybe you will already have had some interviews at schools you actually WANT to attend, and you will get an answer back before you go to your Dec 1st interview.

Anyway, congrats on getting the interview (its more than a lot of us can say) and good luck if you decide to go! :luck:
