December 1st (Weekend) vs December 3rd (Monday) Acceptance

Haven't found another recent thread about this, but I have been hearing people say that since December 1st and 2nd are a weekend, schools will be waiting until the following Monday to send out the first round of acceptances.

Anyone know if this is true, or if they still send those out on the weekend?

I asked someone from admissions at one of the schools i am interviewing at about this, and he said schools are not allowed to send out acceptances until dec 3rd, so no schools should be sending out acceptances on the weekend.

I would think that’s true. That is what happened the year I was accepted. AADSAS had a glitch on the mobile website though and so I was able to see my acceptances on Saturday for about an hour until they fixed it and re-hid all of the school’s decisions. Then I spent the rest of the weekend wondering if what I saw was real.

Multiple schools have told me the 1st, LECOM for example, and others have told me the third. So unless things have changed since I interviewed it may be both days depending on the school.

I think LECOM people said that based on previous years. Historically, it has always been Dec 1, but ADEA says Dec 3.

I just remember Shannon saying that she will be there on Saturday the 1st sending out emails. So unless things changed since early September, thats what I was excepting.

I think ad coms are simply accustomed to saying 'Dec. 1st' but the reality is that all schools have an agreement with ADEA and can't release that information until Dec. 3rd.

I just interviewed at lecom a few weeks ago and am pretty sure they said December 3rd

When I interviewed at LECOM in August, they said December 1 and specifically said not December 3 as the first day. However, since then, I believe the ADEA has somewhat recently clarified and said that acceptances can’t go out until December 3.
