So I just got invited to interview at Nova. I'm from Michigan so having to fly down to Florida is not going to be cheap and the only available dates are in December which is during my finals week. I did get another interview at Midwestern Illinois and am still waiting to hear back from 5 other schools. I'm just wondering if it would even be worth scheduling and paying for the travel to interview in December when most schools would have already sent out acceptances. Am I stupid for even considering turning down an interview?

I hope this rant somehow makes sense? Please, I need some advice!

I would definitely schedule it for December. If you go through last year's official Nova thread you'll notice that people were able to reschedule their post-December interviews for pre-December dates. Apparently some slots do become available but you have to be diligent about going to their portal and checking the availability. Also, acceptance are offered to post-December interviewees as well, you won't be necessarily interviewing for a waitlist. Good luck!

Oh... and if you gain an acceptance on Dec. 2 and you are happy with it, you can easily cancel your interview then (no extra charge for cancelation) 🙂
