Curious, if anyone has any sort of insight on this topic, what do adcom’s weight heavily when differentiating between all these competitive applicants on getting accepted first round?

They’re building a class. Stats will get you in the door, but personality, connections, tolerability, dispositions, ethnicity/race/gender/life experiences will be the deciding factor.

You can’t have a class full of bookworms, so everyone will have a strength.
