Base on the new traffic rule, on the April 30th, we(applicants) have to choose which medical school to enroll if we are lucky enough to have multiple acceptances. I was told at my most recent interview that this action will drop us from all other accepted programs AND waitlists, which means we are offcially bind to the programs we chose to enroll on April 30th.

Is this a misinformation or is this accurate?

Sounds wrong. Waitlist movement happens after April 30th. You remain on all waitlists.

Thank you!! So the thing is to not submit the "Commit to Enroll" button until the last minute if you are still banging on the waitlist movement.

Think of April 30 as the day you need to select between the schools that you have already received an acceptance from. The 'commit to enroll' button doesn't fully commit you to enroll. It basically says, this is where I'll go to school if I don't get off of the waitlist somewhere else that I would rather go. You do often need to pay a small non-refundable deposit on April 30 as well.

Gotcha, so the "commit to enroll" is non-binding, but does limit you between the school you chose for "commit to enroll" and any waitlisted schools.

By committing to one school, you're relinquishing any other acceptances you're already holding. You're not giving up your spot on any waitlists, nor are you losing your right to accept any future acceptance that may be forthcoming.
