I have declined a number of interviews since i have already done 4 interviews and already got accepted to one of my top schools, but i still feel bad that i declined them, i feel like i should have given them a chance but didnt want to waste the money especially since i didnt think id like the school from what everyone says. Oh well, i guess i feel as if im not grateful or something, even though i am.

anyone else feel this way?

Well, I'm definitely not in the same boat, so I can't entirely relate. 😛

Seriously, don't feel bad. The schools don't feel bad, so you shouldn't either. You gave it a good run and went to 4 interviews (that's a lot)! Now you can sit back and enjoy the fact that you're going to med school next year!

Congrats! :hardy:

I know how you feel. I've been turning down interviews left and right. :meanie: Not really.

I'm going to do this when I get back from my Touro Harlem interview this weekend. I think WVSOM and Kirkville are a no go for me..I have way too many interviews scheduled for next semester, and am awaiting some top schools I applied to. Did you just email or call them, and did you do it after you already accepted an interview or before?

I got a call from RVU-COM today. My app was complete this morning (waiting on the DO letter). I received the call about an hour later about an interview. I have not yet called back--planning on it. I had no idea about RVU until I read the threads (pretty intense!) This school seems to give me an uneasy feeling about the $$ and placements post-4th year. At this point, I'm not sure that I want to spend the money to go out there...any advice?

Do you have any acceptances?

Attend the interview if there's a chance (any at all) that you may attend. You earned the interview opportunity. Otherwise, let it go. I'm sure the schools will not be heartbroken. 😉

i have 2 interviews set up in jan due to the holiday. no acceptances yet b/c i haven't been on an interview. waiting to hear from 7 others...

I agree with spiced. If you've come to realize that you absolutely would not want to attend RVU even if you had not other acceptances then skip the interview. If you're still open to it I would go ahead and attend in the chance that neither of your other interviews turns into an acceptance. :luck:
