Declining schools

How many of you guys call or email schools that you have decided not to go to? I have chosen to go to NYU and I was wondering if i should email the other programs that have accepted me to let them know that I will not be attending. Did everyone do this or did you just assume that if they didn't recieve your deposit then you were declining anyway.

Please give those applicants on the waistlist a chance by contacting the programs you are declining. I have by emailing the program coordinator and director. They will appreciate it.

I emailed my other program choices to let them know that I was declining.

Make sure to contact them in some form (email, phone, etc.) so that they can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.
