Hi all!

I had to miss one of my finals in April due to illness
and my make-up exam will be in August.

I am planning on applying to dental schools in June/July
but can I update my grades for an April course in Aug/September?

or should I wait until September to apply (that would be too late tho)?

you can't update it after you've submitted, not until the december academic update period. i would apply early and put Incomplete or whatever your transcript says. Applying in September would hurt you much worse than not having one grade, and you can explain what happened at any interviews and tell them what you got.
