Hey guys,

I am probably going to defer my acceptance to NYU until fall of 2006 for a couple reasons but I have some questions. If I am already technically accepted to NYU, do you think that other dental schools will still interview me (i am doing AADSAS for 2006 and everything is in). I dont want them to be like "well why should we interview you when you are already accepted to another school". NYU is definately not my first choice so i really want to see if i can get into another school. Thanks for your help.

Why even bother applying to a school you don't want to attend???

So you are willing to lose a year to go somewhere else...very dumb in my opinion. You lose more than a year by defferring.

they'll probably ask you about it at your interview, then respond however you want.

thanks for your help guys. i have some major family issues that i am dealing with which is why i chose to defer. i would like to take care of my grandma for the next year. she is very sick. yes my gma's life is worth a year in my book.

also, i would like to go to nyu but there are other schools that i would LOVE to go to. i want to be a dentist and therefore i just need to go to dental school. any dental school. that is why i am deferring nyu but still looking into other schools.
