Hello,

I'm a little confused about the overall app timeline.

I want to apply first week of June next year. My grades for Spring 2016 will not be out until about June 10th. Should I wait to submit my overall app until those grades are posted? (I want to include them in my app)

My school projects a committee letter/letter packet submission time of mid August. Should I be worried about this? Should I submit secondaries before the LOR's sent out? When an app is marked as 'complete', does this mean that the everything, (secondaries and LOR) are in, or just that the primary app is in and verified?

Thanks! 🙂

Wait for your grades to come out, so you can add them to your AMCAS primary. Since the committee letter goes out in August, 1 week later in June won't hurt.

Don't be worried about the committee letter timing. You have no control over it, and I presume your school has been doing it for years and they've had many successful applicants. Do everything on your end on time.

Submit secondaries as soon as you believe they're ready. Typical advice is 2 weeks to submit. LOR and committee letters, as long as you've given them the appropriate paperwork and notice, should get in.

Complete means everything is in and ready to be reviewed, although some schools have an option in their secondaries where you can have your application reviewed before LORs/committee letters are received. You'll typically receive an email from each school telling you everything has been received and your app will be reviewed soon.
