Degree in Computer Science

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have degrees in electrical engineering and computer science. I had no problem getting an interview. The EE and CS classes count towards science GPA. As long as you make good grades in the prereq classes and do well on the DAT there will be no problem. From what I have seen the schools like to have students with degrees other than Biology.

cs people are geniuses

Will a degree in computer science or non science major hurt my chances to Dental School?

No, I know a gal who has her degree in Fashion Design and she will be getting in this year.

So as long as you look like a model you are ok with any degree.

I have a degree in Computer Science and have had no problems getting interviews as well.

Just make sure you do well in your classes (meaning mostly "A"s), and you should have a great chance of getting accepted.

Interviewers will put you on the defensive a little more to make sure you're sure about dentistry, but if you can get past that I've been told it helps out by adding some diversity to a class.
