Hello all,

I will be applying to dental school next June and I will be one 4 credit class short of my B.A. in biology. The class is a foreign language course. However, the course will be completed by the time I enroll in dental school if I'm accepted. Will that be a problem?

I could just take an 18 credit semester and get the degree before I apply, but I'm worried about my GPA because it has been on the rise these last few years after an atrocious first 28 credits, and I must do well for my overall GPA to be above a 3.4 by the time I apply.

That's totally fine. A lot of people apply their junior year of college- a full year before completing their degree.

It's also okay to apply without all of the prereqs completed. For example, I'm going to complete physics 2 after I submit my app. So you have nothing to worry about!

Fully agree.
