My numbers seem within the range of most schools but i'm having trouble picking a mix of target and reach schools. There is no in-state medical school for me which means I am applying OOS everywhere.

My EC include:

-year of research without an individual project in a neurogenetics lab
-more research this summer in a neuroscience lab at a different university but still helping with ongoing projects

-teaching assistant for 4 different core science classes

-mentor for freshman international students for 2 years
-mentor for at risk youth in the area (College Mentors for Kids) for over 2 years

-short term shadowing in the office/OR of an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon
-just started volunteering for hospice this past spring
**hard to have any long term shadowing because I have to move often between my home in Delaware and school in Indiana**
-my mother is a nurse practitioner and I have been exposed to the hospital setting for much of my life

-multiple scholarships and awards

-member of a sorority and on campus Greek Leadership organization

-2 medical mission trips to Nicaragua and Honduras, possibly another this summer

-neuroscience study abroad last summer in Spain/Prague

I am worried I do not have enough sustained clinical experience but my strengths are more in communication and cultural awareness. Which schools should I apply to??

Thank you in advance for your help!!

Jefferson reserves a number of seats for Delaware residents every year, it basically serves as your de facto state school.

Start there. MSAR can answer all your other questions about school lists. Find about 12-15 that are OOS friendly with an MCAT median around 32

You sure type fast.
The link to purchase the MSAR should be in at least one of our signatures!

Okay yes I do have Jefferson I should have mentioned that, but i'm still not sure how many applicants they will get to fill the spots. My weak ECs make it difficult for me to consider any school a safety school which is making the process difficult. I have a list of the following schools so far:
Boston U
Brown
Cincinnati
Columbia
Cornell
Eastern VA
Emory
Geisel @ Dartmouth
George Washington
Georgetown
IU
Jefferson
Keck Southern CA
Miami
NY Downstate
Ohio State
Penn State
Pittsburg
Stanford
Tulane
U of Michigan
U of Rochester
U of Vermont
UC San Diego
UC San Fran
UCLA
Uniformed Services
UPenn
USC
USF Morsani
UVA
VA Commonwealth
Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
WVU

This is a more realistic list for your stats:
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Penn State
Quinnipiac
Boston University
Tufts
Vermont
Hofstra
Albany
New York Medical
Einstein
Wake Forest
GW
Georgetown
Eastern Virginia
VA Commonwealth
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Rosalind Franklin
Loyola
Medical College Wisconsin
St. Louis
Creighton
Tulane
Miami
Many of the schools on your original list are state public schools that favor their own residents, reach schools (IE: Columbia and Cornell) or schools in CA where even CA residents have difficulty getting into.
