Delayed Rejection = Pre-Intervierw Hold

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
A pre-interview hold is somewhere between an interview invitation and a rejection. Where on the spectrum exactly depends on the specific school, as sector9 stated. That's really all there is to say.

Your chances of receiving an interview are lower than before, but still higher than being outright rejected. If you send letters of updates/interest, you might be able to get them to change their mind. I was able to get myself off of a pre-interview hold that way.

lol I donlt want to be paranoid too but jyst worried. Also I am wait listed at UC Davis any syggestions? Any UC interview waitlist experiences?

Also how do they decide the rank on the waitlist?

UCLA/UCSF are dangling the ball above my head (for like a month).

UCSD is just straight chilling with my secondary.

Out of state, but no waitlist experiences with Cali.

I am on a hold with one school. I think school putting applicant on hold are 50 % interested 50 % not. For my case, they want to see a new score.
It is still early in the game, should be thankful that schools aren't really rushing with their selections.

New Score? Did you call the admissions office and found that out?

Any Suggestions?

It really IS early in the cycle (unless you're talking about Texas schools).

Check the rejection thread in School-Specific threads, they have schools listed who have already sent out rejections pre/post-secondary.

That sucks, because I'm on hold at SUNY Upstate....

LOL I read that as "delayed erection"

ok I'll just crawl back to my corner now 🙂
