Don't apply and retake or apply strictly DO. Applying this year and banking on a retake is a terrible idea.
 
You are already a reapplicant even though you only applied to a few schools
you have below average GPA
you have low MCAT
you want to submit early with low MCAT
schools have no obligation to wait for planned MCAT
You are going to retake MCAT in Sept, with score not released until Oct
MCAT scores are automatically updated assuming you havent been screened out by then
You have clinical volunteering ok but little community service
you have research which isnt nearly as important as the clinical and community service
you want to add more research in a gap year which wont help below average academics

you need to enhance both academics and MCAT. Applying before both are done is a poor strategy
