Obtain more in-person shadowing. Pathology is different from most specialties and virtual shadowing does not fulfill the same purpose. You could shadow in the ED you work at or take some of the scribing hours you already have and categorize them as shadowing.

I agree with Faha’s list. There are two campuses for MidWestern, so you could do CCOM over AZCOM if you prefer Chicago.

Understandable, thoughts on scribing covering the need for shadowing or do you think I would need to separate those hours? I'll try and squeeze in some more shadowing if possible. Otherwise, do you think I'm pretty safe for DO?

It should cover you, though I personally prefer also shadowing a speciality where there is more continuity of care. If your network at the ED can help you find a primary care physician to shadow, that would be great.

Good chances for DO, just be sure to apply early.
