I did not know about their engineering focused approach, I'm not an engineering major, just added it because it's a state school, I will definitely be looking into these like I say in the post.
Will my volunteering not be counted as community service? In that case, WAMC and will I not even be getting any interview invites?
You need a gap year to build clinical, nonclinical and volunteer Commun Service hours. Work on EC in general, serious issues that even your stats may not overcome.
If you plan to apply this cycle you should accumulate another 20 hours of physician shadowing and 100+ hours of clinical volunteering before you submit your application in June or July.
If you do so I suggest these schools with your stats:
U Illinois
Southern Illinois
Rosalind Franklin
Northwestern
Medical College Wisconsin
Iowa
Western Michigan
U Michigan
Oakland Beaumont
Washington University (in St. Louis)
Vanderbilt
USF Morsani
Miami
Duke
U Virginia
Cincinnati
Ohio State
Case Western
George Washington
Jefferson
Pittsburgh
Hofstra
Einstein
Mount Sinai
Rochester
Vermont
Tufts
USC Keck
Kaiser
You list zero hours of non clinical volunteering, and for many schools it is an important category that it should not have zero hours.
What did got do in hospice? For non-clinical community service: soup kitchens or pantries, shelters, or helping others outside of just their health or wellness needs?
