Go where you will be happy. USC is well ranked and in a city you like and has the programs that you, at the moment, think you like. Even if you change your mind it will be a fine place.

For me personally, I'd need a dang good reason to go $234,000 more in debt than I need to. If there's a risk they "change their mind" on their specialty and USC no longer provides a big benefit over UCD, then I would definitely choose the cheaper option.

UC Davis. USC Keck’s cost of attendance is absolutely absurd. Both are well ranked. Both will allow you to match obgyn and stay in Cali if that’s what you desire. $234k is just such a vast difference and you also have to remember there’s selection bias when you look at match lists - some of the strongest applicants choose community programs over big names or have other reasons for going to less prestigious programs. Just my $0.02
