What do you say in your cold emails? A lot of times people send an email and it is either too long that people don't read it or too short and it just says "let me do a research project." You have to do something in the middle. Always attach your CV and include in the email why you want to work with them specifically. Also not sure how big that MD school is, but in the new world of zoom you can legit reach out to anyone. Bigger places have more projects. People may say otherwise, but I think there is a better chance of you getting success from somewhere like Northwestern or MGH than somewhere like USF or southern alabama. Not that those places are not great, but they don't have the level of funding that the huge academic programs have.
