I think this is pretty school dependent. My school gave me a huge list of books that i could likely spend 2k+ on like yours. I talked to several of the M2s and beyond, and if you talk to a few you can find whats needed and what isnt. For me they trimmed my list down greatly so now i shouldnt spending more then 400 on books or so if im too lazy to use the copy in the library. I would reccomend talking to upperclassman at your school.

honestly, I wouldn't buy any of those. M1 lecture/notes should be sufficient, this changes in 2nd year. Whatever you do, do NOT buy that Nolte neuroscience book--worst. textbook. ever.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy textbooks. Usually your school notes are enough for tests (wish I had known this during 1st year, bleh). Start getting review books summer before M2, except First Aid, so you can get the most recent edition.

I don't know about NU, but my school allows us to get on accessmedicine.com and use most of our books for free ...might want to ask some second years about it as well as what books they say you should buy (and it will be only a few ones)

So there's a bookstore that's selling robbins 5th edition for $3. Just wondering if there are significant differences between the 5th edition and the one that's out now?
