Hey all,

I'm trying to convince a 70+ y/o person (on blood thinner) in my family to see a doc.

What happened:

Fell down going to bathroom
Started with back pain
Hematoma (I assume) formed, lump in lumbar region
Later came bruising down the leg (supposedly it had begun to lighten up near injury)
Now comes fluid retention in legs
Today, I'm just informed the skin is painful to the touch
Back still sore, hard to sit down etc
This has been 2-3 weeks

What do you all think this is? Hopefully I can use your responses as reference to persuade.

If this type of thing is not allowed in the forum, please delete it.

Otherwise, thanks in advance. I'm worried.

It isn't allowed because you are asking for medical advice.

You should just explain to him/her you are concerned and want him to make sure it isn't serious. Ultimately its his decision to go, not yours.

Sounds good; I figured as much. I've deleted what I could but your quote still appears. Please remove the thread.
