I can't remember if they had candidate status, but there was that one out in Hawaii a few years back. But from what I heard, they weren't following the guidelines from ACPE which is why they got in such a pickle.
HICP attempted to skip some steps in the accredidation process... They took on too many students - aside from other violations of ACPE - they were going to be denied status when they folded up.
No school currently going through the process has been denied...
Several programs that have had full accredidation have been placed on probation in recent years... but none have had their full status revoked.
Feel free to contact the school in question (no doubt you are either interested in, applying to, or have applied already to a non-full status school). They should be more than willing to answer any questions you may have. I would be concerned if the school was not willing to do so.
