Thought this was amusing given Dr. Jeff's recent post.

A few of the gals in our office told me that next week is actually Dental Assistant appreciation week!

I agree, the staff is the heart and backbone of any practice. I have had the good fortune and privilage to work with a wonderful staff before I set off into dental school. They have taught be more about dentistry and running a practice than the Doctor has!

I'm well aware of dental assistants appreciation week, and my 3 will find my partner's and my appreciation in the form of raises in their paychecks next week.😎 🙂 The thing that I really like about how my regular 3 interact with the student we have right now, is that they're the ones really instructing the student on tips and "trade secrets", and very often I'll hear them telling the student "you need to anticipate the doctors next need and be 2 steps ahead of him" Or as I like to tell them every now and then, the more efficient you make things means one of 2 things: 1) we either goto lunch or home sooner, or 2) we have enough extra time to see an extra emergency patient or two, which me we bill more, which means that they're more likely to get raises :wow: 😀
