Dental Dreams in Chicago

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i did not work for them, but what do you want to know ?

I had some of my classmates work initially at DD.
DD attracts Medicaid patients; no matter which state you work in.
so if you are interested in seeing 15-20 patients per day, poor scheduling, rushing around, doing poor quality dentistry often with insufficient instruments you are most welcome to join DD!!
the paychecks will be fat!!!::laugh:
Gentle Dental, Dental Dreams, Kool smiles, Small Smiles all target Medicaid programs in individual states & make improper use of newly graduated naïve dentists !!!
all the best in your search!👍

Didn't dental dreams also have a pt die on them?

At these Medicaid clinics it is pretty much impossible to do comprehensive tx to reduce wear/tear while making good money. You'll be running around like crazy.

I have never worked for them but am aware of quite a few people that do. For a period I did try the medacaid route and am familiar with how they operate.
Basically they strongly attract medacaid patients, as not many providers accept it.
A lot of people talk down about these clinics, but I disagree. You will be serving an underserved population and the way these clinics stay above water is by doing high volume. You will not have the time to spend 2 hrs/RCT but you will be helping quite a few other people who otherwise would end up on a waiting list somewhere else. For how hard you will work you will be underpaid, but you will become very very fast and the work can be rewarding. Every clinic has pros/cons, but when you do practice visits the office manager will make it seem like heaven. Good luck on your search 🙂
