I wonder what equipment you have to purchase at your dental school.
They must not be standarized.
Can you buy your own?
If you buy on ebay, would that be a lot cheaper?
 
I guess it's different from school to school. Some schools actually let you rent equipment but some, like Case, make you buy it. I was looks at dental loops on eBay the other day and found them for $350. At school, you're looking to spend at least $800 but for a different brand, of course.
 
most schools include your equipment as a kit which is part of your tuition basically. For those you have no choice.
