being recently accepted i am now starting to think about things that i didnt think about before. for example how much knowledge of dentistry should i have when i enter school, what do they expect you to know and where should i look to learn about these things? i just dont want to walk into my first lecture and have the prof talking over my head the whole time. this is my first visit to the dental forum so forgive me if this question has already been asked.

They won't expect you to know anything, and most of your classmates will know as little as you. There will be a few exceptions, classmates who've worked as assistants or hygienists, but the coursework starts at zero and builds up from there. You'll be fine. 🙂

I was wondering the same thing before I started dental school this fall. In dental school they expect you to know nothing about dentistry before entering dental school. So now you can relax and enjoy the time you have before you start school in august.
