Hi everyone. Im a D2 student interested in applying to pediatric residency. My GPA is currently at a 3.813 and class rank wise, I'm around 25 out of 100. My school does not have a pediatric residency, so we get plenty of pediatric clinic exposure, which should help boost my resume. There were tons of stats on accepted students statistics for dental school, but for pediatric residency, I haven't found anything. I'm concerned my class rank is too low. How much weight do they place on rank vs GPA vs clinical experience? Do i have a competitive chance? Would taking the GRE help offset my rank? What are some other things I can do now to boost my resume? I've heard externships but most I've seen want you to be a D3. I am involved in research and working on getting leadership in clubs.
