I think it would be cool to get a list or playlists of dental music (Not soft-rock mixes you might someday play in your practice). Something to listen to while I drill away in the pre-clinic. Songs are welcome, playlists are preferred.

For example, I just put together my "Dental Mix #1: Sedation & Anesthesia"

1. My Yellow Country Teeth/ Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
2. Pressure Point/ The Zutons
3. Give Me Novacaine/ Green Day
4. I Wanna Be Sedated/ The Ramones
5. Comfortably Numb/ Pink Floyd
6. Novacaine/ Beck
7. (A) Touch Sensitive/ Super Furry Animals
8. Clint Eastwood/ Gorillaz
9. Are You a Hypnotist/ Flaming Lips
10. Herculean/ The Good, the Bad, and the Queen
11. In Space/ Royksopp
12. Pyramid Song/ Radiohead
13. No Sense/ Cat Power
14. Speak To Me/ Breathe/ Pink Floyd
15. The Great Gig in the Sky/ Pink Floyd
16. Passing Feeling/ Elliott Smith
17. When You Wake up Feeling Old/ Wilco

If you listen to it, hopefully you will see it sort of like a procedure with local anestetic, sedation and GA, then coming back to. Before anyone tells me to get a life, let me just assure you its a lost cause. Do you have any music?

Two sweet songs that have drill sounds:

U2 - Numb
van Halen - Poundcake (just at the start though)

those are the only ones that come to mind.

"Apolonia, relieve my toothache!"

Many dentists have experimented with Yanni music as anesthesia. The results are mixed, but everyone agrees that it has some pretty wierd effects as the patient is passing through stage two into unconciousness. Mostly strange hallucinations of long, curly haired hippies dancing around in tie-died muscle pants from the nineties. Besides that, it can work pretty well as a sedative/anesthesia, but be VERY careful with the Yanni. It will make strange patients just a little stranger. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it.;)

ill go with whatever gulch likes
