Dental Observership in universities

Hi,

Could anyone of you shed some light here! There are some paid dental observership positions at some universities costing around $ 8000 for 3 months. Do you think its worth the bucks? trying get your opinion to see how it can help one's profile to increase the chance of getting admitted to any DDS program.

It definitely helps to have an observership, specially if its at a university. Mostly, it shows you are interested in dentistry and interested in that university. However, $8000 for an observership is ridiculous😱 I wouldnt do it. Can you not find any at a private practice?
