Hi Everyone... If someone makes a second deposit to a school are they forced to go there? The reason I ask is because I have a seat on hold at a dental school and the second deposit is April 1st. However, I'm wait-listed at my top choice school. If I happen to hear from my top-choice post-April 1st can I still switch to that school?

Also, I heard starting April schools have to report to AADSAS who is matriculating? Does that mean other schools will see where you have been accepted?

I am in a similar situation and yes the system allows you to do this. So don't worry, just make sure not to hold more than one deposit after the 1st. If you get accepted off the waitlist, email the other school that you will not be able to attend and then put down the deposit for your 1st choice.

You can have multiple deposits. There's nothing wrong with it, and I'm sure schools don't complain about keeping your $3k if you don't attend. People do it all the time. However, by a certain date (I think May 1st), the AADSAS people inform dental schools which students have deposits at multiple schools.

Pick one school to hold a deposit with by April 2nd that you have been accepted to. If you have paid for a waitlist spot / are waiting for a decision from somewhere else, you will simply just have to wait. You can always change to that school later.
