Once you send you application to AADSAS and they send it out to schools, what happens next. Do you either get a rejection letter or and interview? Or do you have to fill out another application before the interview? Could someone who has been through the whole process explain to me what happens? Thanks.

depending on the school, all of those options are possible.

some schools will send secondaries and some will just reject/invite you for an interview.
 
I would just like to add that for quite some schools, rejections can come pretty late.

The phrase "no news is good news" is no really valid anymore once the cycle hits Feb/March.
