Hey guys, I plan on applying to dental school this upcoming summer. I am taking the DAT in August, but I need help with setting up my application. As in, where do i start (website to sign up etc). I know it looks bad asking in a forum, but my adviser is not up to date on how dental school applications work. Can someone guide me?

This is from 2013, but I think about everything is the same. It's really good to prepare early. The day that the application opens, just try to print out the transcript match form to get your transcripts in ASAP. (The ADDSAS site on the first day is usually difficult to get onto since everyone is filling out their application.) Best of luck!

I'm sure you have your reasons for an August test date. Assuming it is due to prep time, then no change is warranted as preparation trumps all. However, if it is for any other reason, you may consider taking it very end of May or very early June. That would allow your AADSAS file to be complete in time for the first or second batch, which IMO is very key to success, unless your stats are just killer.

Yea im going to take microbiology over summer 1 and will need atleast july free to august to study as much as i can. Hopefully it does not hinder my application too much
