Hello friends,
As I posted before I have Master's degree in electrical engineering and recently started thinking about going to dental school. Foe me it would be a lot of work before entering dental school since I have to take the prerequisite courses. So I am searching a lot to know all aspects of dental school before making the final decision. I heard a lot that dental school is very very difficult. So I am worried if after working on the prerequisite and entering the school, I can't pass the courses or even can I be graduated as a good dentist? My GPA in electrical engineering is 3.7. Would you please share your experiences and thoughts in dental school? Thanks,

Plenty of non-trads around. I did pre-reqs only and am fine. My school, however, has A&P, micro, and biochm as pre-reqs which would be helpful even if your schools of choice don't require them. You might have to put in a little more effort, but this happens quite a bit.

I am in a similar situation....I went back to school to finish my prerequisites for dental school, after working in banking for 7 yrs. I've been accepted into a number of different dental schools, and fully expect it to be challenging. However, I know that I have the drive and determination to do well....and I'm sure you do as well. The way I see it, you got your masters and it sounds like you did pretty well so it sounds like you're up for the challenge of dental school. If you do well in your prerequisite courses, DAT, interview, etc. I think you would have positioned yourself pretty well to succeed in dental school.

Thanks Serbo. Are you in dental school now?

Before you worry about passing in ds, you should worry about passing your prerequisites.
