What, you're crazy, dental schools are not only ranked, but they rank them every month!worlddentist05 said:dental schools are not ranked
Check out this website:

If you can't access the website, then try to access it during "non-rush" hours (3 - 5 AM). It's a newer site and it's really popular. Good luck. 👍

Dental School Rankings
Dental school applicants should be aware that there are proprietary publications available that purport to rank dental schools according to the quality of their programs. The American Dental Education Association and the American Dental Association advise applicants to view these rankings with caution. The basis for the rankings are questionable, and even those individuals most knowledgeable about dental education would admit to the difficulty of establishing criteria for, and achieving consensus on, such rankings.
All U.S. dental schools are accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, and all have their relative strengths. A dental school ideally suited to one applicant might not be appropriate for another. The American Dental Education Association and the American Dental Association recommend that applicants investigate on their own the relative merits of the dental schools they might wish to attend

It's so creative how you recycle a joke! you are the kewlest!!!
What joke? Dental school rankings are no jokes! Oh BTW, you'll never be as "kewl" as I, buck Tooth. 😉Blue Tooth said:It's so creative how you recycle a joke! you are the kewlest!!!
Don't be tricked by the rankings that put DDS and DMD schools in the same list, because they're not the same. Only a DDS is licensed to perform surgery, but only a DMD can write prescriptions.

But remember that only DMD can do histories & physicals and assess surgical plannings. Sure DMDs don't operate or pick up handpieces, but we're the master minds behind the entire treatment. DDS can only operate or use handpieces after an authorization signature from a DMD.
HUGE difference between DDS & DMD! Be sure to select a school based on what degree they offer.

YES! someone posted a question on how to find the ranking of different dental schools.
Let me read what I have said to the previous students who have asked the same question. I am gonna totally rip them! Everyone is going to laugh so hard when I make this joke, just like last time! They're all gonna be like, BURN! This is the night I wait for all month!
Go ahead and bill out all the $20 H&P's you want. I'll be busy doing $2500 bridge preps & $3000 implants. 😉Yah-E said:But remember that only DMD can do histories & physicals and assess surgical plannings.
