So I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have to apply again next cycle everything was just submitted so late and it's not looking too good. I was wondering when I reapply do I have to resubmit the letters of recommendation? Ugh I really hope not! I don't want to have to ask again and explain not getting in I know that all of my previous data will still be there so I'm hoping that includes the letters. Also I know my letters are good and wouldn't be the cause of any rejections. Btw I got my first rejection from Columbia University today ugh sucks so bad that I know a storm of them are coming soon🙁
 
Yeah. You have to ask them for letters again. ADEA does not carry over LORs.
It is what I'm afraid of if I ever have to reapply haha. My professors told me that they would write letters again if I don't get in this cycle.. but... yeah it stinks.
But I wonder if it is allowed to submit same letter again.

Re applicant here, just touch base with your letter writers and let them know how it's going, and let them know that you are serious about reapplying, thank them for their help so far, and let them know that you may need another letter next spring if they are willing. This keeps you on their radar. They will most likely just save the previous letter they sent and update/resend it for you next round.

I know one of my letters was recycled this year. Not ideal, but I am out of school and need the second science professor.

Only applied to one school this year because of money issues and it looks like I've been wait listed, but it was a school that didn't even interview me last year.

Just got to keep trying.
