Hello,

How should I decide on which schools to apply to? Location? Curriculum?

I will be taking an HSPS so money will not factor in. I live in NJ, but I'm not sure if my family will still be here in 8 years after I get out.

Any advice

Best advice is your own advice. Think of where you want to live for the next 4 years in addition to the curriculum. Check out schools that will, first, most likely accept you (although a long shot or two is worth it, I guess) and then look at what schools you would like to attend.

Also, why are you thinking of 8 years? Dental school is 4 years. Unless you are a freshman...then stop worrying.

Do you already know you're getting the scholarship prior to applying? If not, don't assume, b/c many people don't recieve it.

If you haven't applied, I don't think you have been accepted into the HPSP which is not as easy to get into as it once was. From personal experience, apply to the HPSP at the same time as you do your DS apps to get a head start on everyone else.

Thats what I figured...hope the OP knows!

I've applied yet and it is presumptuous for me to assume that I'd get it.

I hope that I get it and I'll be busting my ass in my final classes and my DAT. I hope I can get it.
