Hello,
I'm an old graduate and so I was wondering if anyone here knows off the top of their head for certain how many years pre-req courses expire for dental schools? Do they vary by dental schools? I tried researching specific schools I'd like to apply to but could not find the information on their websites.

Thank you!

As far as I know pre-req courses never expire.

How old? I've seen a couple schools that won't take classes that are over 5 years but off the top of my head, I can't remember which ones. It will probably depend more on what you have done since then if they want to consider "old" grades.

I'd call the schools you're applying to just to be safe but I've never heard of pre- requisite courses expiring. I know schools that wont take old DAT scores but that's about it. I wouldn't bother retaking them unless you absolutely had to.

I know it has been 10 yrs since I applied, but when I did no school rejected me even though some of my prerequisites were up to 14 yrs old.

I agree that you need to contact each school for verification.

The only school I've seen so far is UNC (5 years); I tried to contact admissions about it but they never got back to me.
