I am right now in my undergraduate classes taking two years at a Community college and two years at UCSD does it look bad that I started at community college? Also is it a big deal that I received Bs in the chemistry classes because I got As in the Bio and Physics classes? over all I am shooting for a 3.5 GPA can anyone tell me some good dental schools that accept a 3.5 or below?

Thank You

If you got 4.0 at CC and 3.0 at UCSD, it may be a problem. Otherwise, you are fine. Many gets in with 3.5 or below. In fact, many dental schools' freshmen classes have average GPA lower than 3.5.

do they take the average GPAs of community college and UCSD to come up with a final GPA?

They calculate GPA based on every classes you have taken. (this includes even the ones that you repeated.)
I think SD is quarter system and most CCs are semester base?

AADSAS will convert units and come up with something.

Associated American Dental Schools Application Service

common application : undergraduate university = AADSAS : dental school

I think every faq for dental schools i've read say that it doesn't matter what degree you get as an undergrad, as long as you 1) take the pre-req classes, and 2) complete any elective units required. further, i believe d schools like diversity; i've seen a list of majors of incoming students, and Classics and Business have been in there.

1. If you can maintain your GPA at UCSD, you will be compeltely fine.

2. Bs in chem. are totally fine.

3. 3.5 is a solid GPA. Do well on your DAT and I am sure you can get into a lot of places.

Good luck!
