I was wondering if anyone knows of a resource for information about dental schools, such as program description, tuition, admission statistics, etc., or any resource that would help one decide which dental schools to apply to.

Also, during the DAT application process, it asks which schools you would like to release a score report to. Can you change the schools you picked later on if you change your mind? If so, would there be a fee?

Thanks a lot.

Answer to your first question 2008 or 2009 ADEA Offical Guide to Dental Schools. Answer your 2nd question. You have to pick at least 5 schools right away and those first 5 are "free" but after that they are $25 a school. You can add schools whenever you want after that but like I said it will cost you $25 a pop.

Thanks a lot, that's exactly what I was looking for.

I know you can add schools, but can you change schools that you picked during the DAT app process? would there be a fee? I want to apply for the DAT, but haven't decided which schools to apply to.

Another question, how long does it take from the time of application to the time that you can actually schedule your exam? Thanks.

Once you choose a school, you cannot change it. So if you decide not to pursue that school then you simply just dont include them on your AADSAS. There is no changing once a selection has been made but you can add schools later.

2nd question- Depends on what time of the year you schedule your DAT. Usually, you want to schedule it about 2 months ahead of time, just for good measure. When you fill out the application and get approved to choose a date, there will be a whole bunch of dates you can choose from. Like I said, if you want a specific date, I would schedule 2 months ahead of time. Spring time is a pretty busy time for DAT takers.
